ABOUT

Kayla Tellington is a 25-year-old writer and educator based in Baltimore, Maryland. She is a proud graduate of the University of Baltimore, where she earned her BA in English with a focus in Creative Writing and a minor in Business. She recently completed her MFA in Creative Writing & Publishing Arts at her alma mater.
Kayla has spent her entire life in Baltimore and never hesitates to share that she’s a graduate of THEE Baltimore Polytechnic Institute—especially when speaking at local events. Over the years, she’s explored several successful small business ventures, but her deepest passion has always been writing.
Originally drawn to fantasy in her early storytelling, Kayla now writes emotionally grounded thrillers and suspense-driven narratives, often centering young adult voices. Her current work explores how silence, power, and vulnerability shape girlhood. She is the founder and Chief Editor of KayTell Ink, a literary magazine she launched in 2020, and hopes to expand the platform by publishing curated anthologies in the near future.
Kayla’s mission is simple: to share, write, teach, and always strive to be a better version of herself.
